About the job

We are looking for a full-time (40-hour) Jr. UK Broker to join our Biofuels & Tickets team at our head office on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. In this role, you will support clients in the trading of Renewable Transport Fuel Certificates (RTFCs), working closely with an experienced team to develop your commercial and brokerage skills. You'll inherit part of an existing client portfolio while actively building your own network by identifying new business opportunities and developing long-term client relationships.

If you're commercially minded, enjoy speaking with people, and are motivated by closing deals in a dynamic and sustainable industry, this could be the right fit for you.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Performance in a Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in dynamic, high-pressure settings, bringing structure and clarity to complex, evolving situations.

  • Client Engagement & Portfolio Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships and understand their needs across the biofuel supply chain. Manage your client portfolio on a day-to-day basis within your assigned product coverage, with consistent and proactive follow-up.

  • Deal Structuring & Execution: Leverage strong commercial and communication skills to originate, structure, and mediate transactions with clients. Identify trading opportunities across the global biofuel spot and forward markets.

About you

  • Native-level English, with the confidence and clarity to build trust over the phone from the first call.

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Econometrics, Engineering, Business, or related fields.

  • This role is open to both entry-level candidates and those with prior experience; no specific background is required, though a proven commercial track record (internships, student sales roles, competitive sports, etc.) is a strong plus.

  • Strong commercial drive with a proactive, deal-oriented mindset. You enjoy closing deals and outperforming targets.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker, able to navigate complex, regulated markets and translate data into opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships.

  • Entrepreneurial, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

  • Naturally curious, with a strong interest in sustainability, energy markets, and global trade.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive Compensation: Receive a competitive salary, with the opportunity to earn a profit share based on your performance and contributions.

  • Daily Lunch & Fruit: Enjoy a fresh, healthy lunch provided every day at the office, along with fresh fruit available throughout the week.

  • Well-being & Social Environment: Recharge in our in-house yoga room, unwind in the game room, join regular ping pong tournaments, and take part in team activities and social outings.

  • Dynamic & Driven Team: Work alongside an ambitious, international, and collaborative team with a strong performance mindset

  • Growth Opportunities: We support your development through tailored learning and career advancement.

  • Inspiring Workspace: Based in the heart of Amsterdam, our office offers a spacious garden, ideal for stepping away, connecting with colleagues, or enjoying lunch outdoors.

  • The Annual OLYX Trip: Join us for our annual company trip to celebrate success and connect with the team.
